NA-WE-WE SPORT JAMBOREE – IS BACK – 3rd EDITION – BAFOUSSAM
On Tuesday 20th February 2024, LOYOC Cameroon announced that the beautiful city of Bafoussam will be the host of the 2024 NAWEWE Sports Jamboree. This decision was arrived at after several strategic meetings with young people, CSOs, displaced communities, administrative, elected and rational authorities within the region. The Jamboree will run from the 6th July to the 31st August 2024
The NA-WE-WE Sports Jamboree is an annual summer holiday youth-led community initiative that aims at using sports and recreational activities as a vehicle to foster social cohesion, moral, civic, and entrepreneurial rearmament as well as healthy living between and among displaced persons and host communities. This jamboree is youth-focused (15-35) and adopts an innovative sports approach inspired by global sports for peace and development tools that focuses on using sports to bring people from different walks of life to play, dialogue and build relationships; raise awareness while providing basic amenities to communities as well as inculcate core moral, civic and entrepreneurial values to the community.
The theme for the 3rd edition is: Using Sports to build socio-cultural relationships. We have also adopted the Slogan: “We Play Together, We di Happy Together.
