Cameroon National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS-NAP 2025–2030)

On the 22nd of September 2025, Cameroon launched its first National Action Plan on Youth Peace and Security as part of the commemoration of the International Day of Peace. The launch was chaired by the Cameroon Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, H.E. Mounouna Foutsou and the UN Resident Coordinator to Cameroon, Dr Issa Sanogo.
We are proud to present the Cameroon National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS-NAP 2025–2030)—a landmark framework co-created with over 4,500 young people and stakeholders nationwide.
This plan represents the aspirations of young Cameroonians and outlines concrete strategies to:

Strengthen youth leadership for peace,

Build trust in institutions,

Reduce violence and crime,

Foster collaboration across communities and partners.
