Call for Participants Regional Symposium on Youth Participation in Peace Processes
Are you a young changemaker from Cameroon’s Northwest or Southwest regions, passionate about building a safe, secure and prosperous community? Join us from 18th to 20th of September 2025 to commemorate the International Day of Peace 2025 through a transformative three-day Regional Symposium in the city of Buea, designed to amplify youth voices in peace processes and foster meaningful collaborations with policymakers, development partners, and fellow youth leaders from the NW and SW regions.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be from either of the 13 Divisions of the NW/SW regions
- Aged 18–35
- Young people from all walks of life
- Active in youth engagement programs, CSOs, peacebuilding, or civic engagement
- Committed to sharing knowledge and impact within your community
What You’ll Experience
- Keynote & Advocacy Sessions with administrative, religious and traditional officials, development practitioners and peacebuilding experts
- Youth-led Panels sharing lived experiences and community-driven solutions
- Skills Workshops on conflict sensitivity, gender-responsive peacebuilding, negotiation, and advocacy
- Networking Opportunities with institutions and mentors
- Creative, Cultural Showcases & Recognitions: featuring art, music, theatre, storytelling as well as cultural and award night.
- Youth Development Exhibition: connecting participants with organizations offering opportunities in entrepreneurship, education, and employability as well as showcasing national and local efforts for peace.
Scholarships Available
Participation is free. Selected participants will receive meals and conference kits. Nevertheless, Scholarships to support Transportation and lodging for some participants will be available upon request on the application form. N.B: Opportunities are very limited so ensure you make a strong case for scholarship in the registration form.
