Call for Interns and Fellow in the Southwest Region

Local Youth Corner Cameroon (LOYOC) is excited to announce the recruitment of Fellows to join our Programs Department in the Southwest Region!
This opportunity is ideal for passionate, driven young professionals who are eager to contribute to impactful community work and gain hands-on experience in program implementation. Fellows will play a key role in supporting ongoing initiatives, which promotes youth-led peacebuilding and civic engagement.
About LOYOC
Local Youth Corner Cameroon (LOYOC) is a national, non-profit, youth-led organization established in 2002 and formally registered in 2004. LOYOC’s mission is to empower young people, particularly those aged 15-35, to actively contribute to peacebuilding, preventing violent extremism, and sustainable development. The organization was founded in response to the socio-political and economic challenges that disproportionately affect young people in Cameroon, including high unemployment rates, inadequate governance, gender-based violence, and exclusion from decision-making processes. Over the years, LOYOC has significantly impacted both within Cameroon and internationally, fostering youth engagement in peace processes and advocating for youth-centric policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing program activities
- Support field coordination and stakeholder engagement
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and learning sessions
- Participate in advocacy and community mobilization efforts
Eligibility Criteria
- Based in the Southwest Region
- Background in peace building, conflict resolution, law, or related fields
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passionate about youth development and social impact
Deadline for Applications: Friday, August 22, 2025. The fellowship program will last for 3 months.
