MEET OUR JUDGE!
Mr. Eric Ngalle Charles
He is a Cameroonian-born, Wales based writer, poet, playwright and actor. He is a Fellow of the leadership network British-American Project, and currently sits on the board of directors for Literature Wales, Wales Pen and the advisory board of Aberystwyth Arts centre. For their 30th Anniversary, Eric was selected as one of the ‘Hay 30’ of young writers, scientists, philosophers, performers and activists who will shape the world over the next thirty years. He holds a Creative Wales Award from the Arts Council of Wales for research into Migration, Memory and Trauma. His previous books include the Hafan Books anthologies Between a mountain and a Sea(2003), Soft Touch(2004), Nobody’s Perfect (2005), Festival of the Wolf(2006). His plays includes: My mouth brought me here first performed at London south bank centre and the Hayfestival 2018, Asylum (2016) Last Ritual 2018(first performed at the Hayfestival 2018 and Cardiff Book festival 8th September 2018. The first part of his memoirs, I Eric Ngalle, will appear in Autumn 2018(Publishers, Parthian Books.
