Achaleke Christian Leke among the 100 Most Influential African Youth in 2017.
After the release of a first list in 2016, the Africa Youth Awards just released its second annual list of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans for the year 2017. This endeavor, which brought participation from 140 countries globally, seeks to recognize young achievers across the African continent. This list presents 45 women and 55 men between the ages of 15 and 36 years. Among these prominent and amazing young Africans, featured Mr. Achaleke Christian Leke, National Coordinator of Local Youth Corner Cameroon.
This recognition came in for his role as a civil-society activist greatly engaged in peace building and Countering Violent Extremism.
Also, his membership in several youth development networks and organisations and work in close collaboration with the Cameroon Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education and other development stakeholders was pointed out. After his recent nomination as the 2017 Avance Media Most Influential Young Cameroonian & the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2016, , he now receives this Award to acknowledge again his relentless work of in making our Cameroon better place for its youth and its people.
Mr Achaleke is presently serving as Cameroon’s Youth Ambasasdor to the Commonwealth as well as Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassador Network Global Coordinator. His unfailing engagement has amready impacted over 20,000 lives and still counting.
